Bloodhound
You are a vise, exerting inevitable pressure until the truth emerges. No detail is too small to escape your notice. No mystery is thorny enough to go unsolved.
Power: Your senses are keen enough to detect just about anything. You can see to the horizon line; you can hear someone’s heartbeat to tell if they’re lying; you can smell the Aether on a suspected Relic. All of your senses are honed this way: touch, taste, smell, hearing, sight, time, proprioception: whatever you can justify to the Referee is on the table.
Upgrades
- Thought Cabinet: Whenever you enter a new settlement or exploration site, gain 1 Insight as you absorb microscopic details to piece together later.
- Sense of Style: Your super-senses extend to a “sense of propriety” or “sense of style”: you know how something is going to be received before it’s said.
- Can Opener: If someone doesn’t have the opportunity to leave your presence, you can goad them until they break. They must choose: tell you what you want to know, attempt to flee and grant you a valuable clue, or attack you and grant you 1 Insight. No matter the result, they will resent you afterwards.
- Scent Memory: You remember every smell you’ve smelt for at least a week. In that time, you can drawn connections or ask questions of anything you’ve encountered at any time.
